KiteShip™ opened its high desert testing facility in California's Mojave Desert
in 2001 and began its work towards continued optimization and full scale
implementation, using race-legal equipment and techniques on land.
The challenge
of developing flying techniques using existing yachting systems was ingeniously
met on the KiteShip™ test vehicle.
